God is very aware of the darts that come our way and catch this, He allows them. I know some will disagree with me and say that we bring problems on ourselves (like I did with bad decisions I have shared in previous posts), or that the devil causes them. Yet regardless of who “caused” it, God has to allow it or else it does not happen. And He allows difficulties because He knows He can use them for good. Not because these things are good, but because He isgood, and He outdoes evil every time. As my sweet, precious friend once said, “God is bigger than free will.” And by the way, just in-case we’ve forgotten; He wins in the end. And because He does, so do we.
An extension of this point that God does not allow anything to happen to us that He doesn’t intend to use for good, is the promise that if God is for us, nothing is against us. Yes, you heard me right, nothing. I remember Dr. Ed Smith at one of his prayer conferences stating the well-known Romans 8:31 scripture in those terms. Well, how else can we interpret “…If God is for us, who can be against us?” It’s either true or not. And since God doesn’t lie, then I would venture to say it is true. No matter what comes against us, it cannot win (no matter how much it seems like it is), because God’s got us. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has already won and He lives in us - “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4). This stuff is not just for Sunday school, friends. It’s real and true and should change the way we live. But does it, and if not, why not?
