My Daddy Already Got That For Me

Ok, I promise I’ll back off of the son stories for a while, but here’s one more for now. When Nick was between two and three years old, he was the cutest boy in the whole world, but I was not the best Mom in the whole world. My famous one-liner that described my less than stellar mothering skills during those pitiful years was that I was that up for the Mother of the Year Award. This was a joke among friends and my attempt to excuse my parenting flaws.
